Jericho, Mississippi sheriff Quinn Colson has serious trouble on his hands, in the form of recently pardoned murderer Casey Dixon, who has returned to make amends for his terrible crime. Or maybe that is just a pretense, and Dixon is actually there to dig up the hidden loot from an armored car robbery he committed years ago. That is certainly what his former gang assumes, as they break out of Parchman prison to confront Dixon before he can take the money all for himself. But, suddenly a tornado touches down, which knocks out all of Jericho's power just as a truckload of born killers is about to descend on the County.
